Earth Day 2020

Even amidst the coronavirus pandemic, our club still found ways to help out our planet on this special day! Many members watched the digital Earth Optimism Summit, featuring speakers from around the world and covering a wide range of topics from climate change on coastal cities and coral reefs to environmental justice to sustainable energy! Our club president, Kayla Peale, even got to be one of the speakers at the event (click here to see the live interview)! Due to social distancing, we were not able to co-sponsor the EcoAction Arlington stream cleanup, but club members still went to work picking up trash around their own neighborhoods. Despite the world being in such a crazy place right now, it’s amazing to see that people from all walks of life have not lost their drive to protect the ecosystems of the planet for generations to come.
